ArchitecturePLB worked with Opus Blue on proposals to redevelop the former Four Winds Inn and Garage site in Falmouth Cornwall. After a planning application for a student housing scheme on the site was rejected, ArchitecturePLB developed a new scheme for an elderly care home for 86 residents.
This development was more in keeping with the local residential area and outline planning permission was granted in 2017.

The scheme was designed to create enjoyable internal and external spaces for the residents whilst ensuring the scheme was economically viable for the developer. The layout allowed for the majority of the rooms to be south, east or west facing, with sun coming into an external courtyard.
