HSDC Reception

In 2017 Havant Sixth Form College and South Downs College in Waterlooville, merged to become Havant & South Downs College (HSDC), a multi-campus college providing a varied range of high quality education and training to young people and adults accross South East Hampshire and West Sussex.

The HSDC reception project needed to deliver high impact and improved functionality and student services offer within a short timeframe at both the Havant and South Downs campuses. To deliver this project within the desired timescales, a well planned methodical approach was required.

ArchitecturePLB were commissioned to design a unifying interiors scheme for both campus receptions based on their striking new brand identity. The spaces have been designed for a variety of uses including in dependent learning and student support. Works were called out during the summer holidays to minimise disruption to the campus.

Following this project ArchitecturePLB were appointed to create a new student hub at the Havant Campus transforming a utilitarian space into a varied learning and social environment.

ArchitecturePLB have specific and directly relevant skills and experience from previous Further Education projects and by combining an intelligent and pragmatic approach with creative design skills, added value and exceeded our client’s expectations.
