This week, we made our annual pilgrimage to Brighton for the CIH South East Conference, the largest event in the sector’s calendar and a valuable venue for catching up on the latest thinking, and networking with friends and colleagues from the housing industry. Typically, the event attracts hundreds of housing professionals who come for the conference and associated exhibition on all aspects of the challenges facing us in the delivery and management of affordable housing.
The exhibition hall was thronging with good ideas and trade stands and the conference hall had a constant round of speakers engaging delegates on a wide range of strategic issues around housing, including invaluable expertise from other sectors. Ian Deans and Paul Phasey attended from ArchitecturePLB, and spent the three days on an exhausting round of talks, fringe events, meetings and hospitality! The view is from the top floor of the Conference Centre where we attended a very enjoyable reception with our friends from Radian.
