Paul joined ArchitecturePLB in 2007 as a Senior Architect, progressing through the ranks to join the Board as a Director in 2020.
His experience has enabled him to take several, large-scale and complex schemes through design and construction phases, particularly in residential, healthcare and education sectors.
Paul’s high profile residential projects include Mayflower Halls, a high-rise student accommodation scheme in central Southampton on the edge of the City’s Cultural Quarter, and Project Cornerstone for University of Chichester, a complex masterplanning and delivery project for accommodation across two campuses.
Paul has led major healthcare projects including the £34m Worthing Integrated Care Centre, a complex multi-user primary and community health centre in the heart of Worthing’s Civic Quarter, and new medical centres in Winchester, Southampton and the New Forest. Education projects include a secondary school for London Borough of Greenwich, a primary school in Corby and the Itchen 6th Form College expansion.
Paul has excellent communication skills and has a keen interest in projects involving public consultation. He is a member of the University Design Forum research group on student accommodation and has published writings on the Building Safety Act. Paul has also maintained a commitment to teaching, having acted as a visiting design and technology tutor at University of Manchester and as a mentor within the Practice.
