Andrew joined ArchitecturePLB in 2004, becoming an Associate in 2009 and Associate Director since 2020, his expertise ranging broadly across the educational and residential sectors
Andrew has been project lead for multiple educational projects in London and the South East, including secondary and primary schools, academies, SEN schools, HE&FE projects and University campus masterplans. Recent projects include a 15-year masterplan for the University of Portsmouth, designs for George Green’s Secondary School in Tower Hamlets and Mary Hare Primary School and Boarding House in Newbury which won the Inclusive Design award at Education Estates 2023. Andrew has also led on several of the practice’s local public sector affordable housing projects including St Pauls Way, Cressy Place and Copenhagen Place for Tower Hamlets.
Andrew is an excellent designer and communicator, and is particularly adept at resolving complex briefing requirements. He brings a creative, thoughtful and pragmatic approach to all his work, with a keen attention to detail, and is never happier than when discussing projects with clients, pen and paper in hand. Andrew is keen cyclist and loves to make things, designing and building a studio in his garden during the pandemic was a particular highlight.
