Won through an exemplar family housing competition, this new development provides a high density solution to meet the need for affordable housing in the area. The development remains sensitive to the scale of the neighbouring houses, and uses a mixed palette of timber and brick. Using modern methods of construction, an innovative ‘kit of parts’ combines one, two and three storey elements. The scheme has achieved a Secured By Design certification and BfL ‘Gold’ Standard.
