Client Private client

The first house built to Passivhaus standards in Hampshire. Significant planning challenges and heritage concerns, due to location, were overcome by setting the building back into the chalk bank. To ensure Passivhaus standards were met, ArchitecturePLB worked closely with specialist consultant, Warm, who modelled the building and advised on the specification of the main building elements regarding U-values and cold bridging. Part of the client’s brief was for a ‘not-quite conventional’ design. To respond to this, an ‘upside-down’ approach was taken to the internal layout.
