Hampshire Property Breakfast July 2024

Thanks again to all those who elected to get out of bed that little bit earlier on Tuesday 9th July and join us, Gillings Planning, Scott White and Hookins and Winchester BID for a coffee, a bacon bun, and some excellent post-election discussion with Mike Denness of Consult Communications Ltd.

Another fantastic turn-out from a very diverse mix of developers, consultants and contractors from across Hampshire’s construction industry.

Special thanks to Mike Denness for giving us his views on the outcome of last week’s elections and the key elements of the manifesto and yesterday’s speech by Rachel Reeves MP, relating to construction. Housing is top of the list, but there was also interesting discussion about the ‘grey belt’, town center regeneration, what to do with the ‘High Street’ and where all the new planning officers are going to come from!

The mood in the room was certainly one of optimism and an expectation of a busy time ahead!
