Worthing ICC Breaks Ground

Date posted: February 16, 2022

Work has officially begun on the Worthing Integrated Care Centre.

Senior Architect Andy Joyce and Director Paul Conway made the most of the winter sunshine, taking part in the ground-breaking ceremony for this £34m scheme. The size of the event was testament to the importance of this great project, and the number of people and organisations it takes to get something like this off the ground.

Funded by Worthing Borough Council, the development will provide GP, mental health, community and dentistry services, pharmacy and services for families and young children along with a new MSCP, on a prominent site in the heart of the town centre.

Representatives at the event included Worthing West MP Sir Peter Bottomley and East Worthing and Shoreham MP Tim Loughton, Worthing Borough Council, SCFT, SPFT, Worthing Medical Group, gbpartnerships working on behalf of LIFTCo West Sussex Estate Partnership and contractor Galliford Try.

ArchitecturePLB were proud to represent the design team alongside McPhersons. Thanks also go to those not in attendance, including Arup, Shrimplin Planning, Hydrock, Solas Realta and UBU.
