Southbrook cottages: Micheldever’s Newest Passivhaus flats aims for Zero Carbon footprint

Following the planning approval of Southbrook Cottages, we are delighted to share that the works for the homes have commenced.​

The two-storey development will provide six new affordable Passivhaus homes, with parking. It will comprise of 4 one-bedroom flats, and 2 two-bedroom flats with associated landscape work. This will. The proposed development aims to sympathetically respond to the buildings and natural landscaping of both the street and the wider village of Micheldever.

Southbrook cottages has been designed in response to the Winchester City Council climate emergency declaration and pledge to all new homes to be
zero carbon from 2030. ArchitecturePLB’s extensive experience in Passivhaus and sustainable design, combined with cutting-edge technologies, will ensure that the cottages are built to the highest standards of energy efficiency and sustainability.
