Promotions and Announcements

Date posted: September 9, 2020

September is a time of change and we have some exciting changes at ArchitecturePLB to announce.

Firstly, we are celebrating the promotion of two of our senior team. Paul Phasey has been promoted to Director and Andrew Fifield to Associate Director. As the practice’s Passivhaus Designer Paul has been sharing his passion for sustainable design both within the practice and beyond. He has extensive experience leading a range of housing schemes from one off developments to larger urban regeneration areas, alongside a range of education projects. Andrew, based in our London studio, has developed significant experience in the Education sector, including many schools and higher education projects. His evocative hand drawings are legendary and he uses this skill to communicate in a language that can be shared by all those engaged in the design process.

After nearly 22 years at ArchitecturePLB and more than 15 as Director, Rupert Cook decided, at the start of the year, to step away from the practice and he is now looking forward to joining an old University friend as a partner, from 1st October. This year he oversaw two projects which have been shortlisted for RIBA regional awards including the new sports centre for Solent University and Promega UK’s new HQ building. We would like to thank Rupert for his great contribution to the practice, particularly within the HE sector.

In January our Winchester based team will also be saying goodbye to our old office on St Thomas Street and moving into our own-designed, contemporary space in the heart of the City. The move will allow the whole team to work in a fantastic open plan space, promoting a more collaborative and sociable workplace.

In 2021 we will also be celebrating the practice’s 50th anniversary, watch this space for more details about how we plan to celebrate with you.
