Michael joined ArchitecturePLB in 2009 and has gained a wealth of experience in designing and delivering a range of projects primarily within the education and residential sectors.
He is particularly concerned with the process of taking projects from the initial briefing and concept development stage through to their realisation as sustainable, contextual and well detailed buildings. Michael is interested in the idea of place making and in the potential for architecture to have a positive effect on communities by helping promote social inclusion and diversity.
As well as experience of designing major new buildings, Michael has an excellent track record in transforming existing buildings. He enjoys the challenge of re-modelling and refurbishing to bring new life to a building, realising the full potential of the existing fabric.
Michael is a good communicator and is aware of the importance of understanding the needs of various stakeholders and conveying ideas to them. He has strong design and presentation skills as well as extensive experience in detail design and specification writing.
