BSc(Hons) BA(Hons) MCIAT

Associate

Chris is a Solent University (Southampton Institute) Alumni, graduating from the Architectural Technology Degree Course. He became a Chartered Architectural Technologist, MCIAT, in 2013. Since joining ArchitecturePLB in 2009 Chris has gained experience in many sectors from Retail, Healthcare, Schools, Private Residential, Social Housing and Student Housing on varied project sizes from small to large multi-million pound schemes. He has regularly worked as a project leader on all RIBA Stages from 1 to 5 but has a particular passion and skill in the technical design and delivery of buildings onto site. He enjoys the on-site dynamic of a construction project as well as the liaison with and co-ordination of a multi-disciplinary project team/contractors and sub-contractors. Chris is always keen to ensure the role of Architectural Technologists in the Construction and Architectural industry is championed, best achieved by having a passion and enthusiasm for design, architecture and construction with a willingness to engage positively with all members of a project team. Chris is a key member of our senior architectural staff, involved in developing, implementing and monitoring technical standards and documentation within the practice. Chris also is skilled at mentoring our more junior staff and recently lectured at Solent University, part-time for two academic years, on the Architectural Design & Technology Degree Course.
