Andrew Fifield

BA(Hons) DipArch RIBA

Associate Director

Andrew joined the practice in 2004 as project architect for the St Matthew Academy, a new all-through school in Blackheath. As Associate since 2009, Andrew has continued to develop his expertise in the education sector and led many of the practice’s schools projects including Barnfield West Academy and more recently a PNI Special School co-located with a mainstream secondary school, Marriotts and Lonsdale in Stevenage. This acknowledged expertise in the education sector led to him being appointed Design Advisor for the Wellington Academy in Wiltshire sponsored by Wellington College. Andrew has worked with a wide range of public and private clients, and is particularly committed to the process of understanding clients’ ambitions and transforming these into sustainable, legible and attractive buildings that fit their purpose. He loves to draw and uses this skill to communicate in a language that can be shared by all those engaged in the design process. Andrew is a trained BREEAM Assessor and applies this expertise across our full work through the R&D Sustainability Group within the practice. He also has teaching experience at various university schools of architecture. andrewfifield@architectureplb.com
