For ArchitecturePLB, a sustainable approach is central to our ethos and the practice has a long track record of inventive sustainable design solutions across a range of different building types. Winners of The Independent ‘Green Building of the Year’ as far back as 1993, this commitment to low energy design continues in our current work.

Having designed Hampshire’s first certified Passivhaus we are now designing to Passivhaus Premium standards, and have an in house certified Passivhaus designer. We are also exploring how these principles can be applied to large-scale schemes, such as student residences.

We are experienced in implementing BREEAM, designing to achieve Excellent and Outstanding targets and have applied the SKA environmental assessment methodology on a range of refurbishment projects.

We are members of the AECB (Association for Environment Conscious Building) and actively engage in events and conferences such as Green Sky Thinking Week.
