Queens Keep and Latimer House, Southampton

Date posted: September 26, 2014

ArchitecturePLB have recently begun work on a number of projects with commercial property developer, the Ashville Group. Design proposals have been produced for regenerating Queens Keep, a 12 storey 1960’s office building in central Southampton. The scheme also includes refurbishment of the adjacent Latimer House, a fine terrace of listed town-houses converted to commercial use.

The proposals include a new reception area, social spaces, business lounges, meeting areas, landscaping, upgrading to common parts and new wayfinding. The aim is to create a contemporary, high quality feel to the front of house facilities, greatly enhancing the appeal to potential tenants and improving the identity of the building within the wider cityscape. Other projects for the Ashville Group include refurbishment of an important listed office building in central Winchester and refurbishment of a large 5-block office development in Cardiff, on the banks of the River Taff.
