Paul Phasey to speak at futurebuild

Date posted: February 14, 2019

We are excited to announce that Associate Paul Phasey will be speaking at the upcoming futurebuild event in London. Paul and Head of Radian Build, Jonathan Rickard will be talking about how we have used the new Assured Performance Process developed by the National Energy Foundation to reduce the energy performance gap between design and construction at Quebec Park.

Quebec Park is the first development in the Whitehill and Bordon ‘Green Town’ Masterplan and was initially designed to meet the aspirational sustainability target of zero carbon set by the HCA using the Zero Carbon Hub’s standards for Fabric Energy Efficiency and Carbon Compliant. When the Code for Sustainable Homes and the 2016 Building Regs were withdrawn, the ZCH standards were retained as a test bed to help inform future changes to energy regulations. The Assured Performance Process involved detailed thermal modelling and a focus on deliverability during detailed design to ensure that thermal bridges were eliminated and airtightness targets were achieved.

Paul will be speaking as part of the ‘Ensuring quality and performance in new homes’ session on the 6th of March. Building Hub Theatre, 13:30 – 14:40.
