HEDQF workshop at UEA

Date posted: June 8, 2018

Director Rachel Shaw spent the day at the University of East Anglia yesterday, taking part in an event organised by the HEDQF which included an interactive workshop looking at developing a new movement strategy within the UEA campus.

The Campus, which opened in 1963 in Norwich includes the famous Denys Lasdun listed Teaching Wall and ‘ziggurat’ residences. Other interesting developments include Norman Foster’s Sainsbury Centre for the Visual Arts which opened in 1978, and the new Passivhaus and BREEAM Outstanding Enterprise Centre by Architype completed in 2015. The Enterprise Centre, where the event was held is also an exemplar for the use of natural and bio-renewable materials sourced through local supply chains.

The workshop was organised by the Higher Education Design Quality Forum (HEDQF) which aims to work with clients to improve the performance of university buildings and estates. As founder members, ArchitecturePLB regularly attend workshops and building visits to share our knowledge and learn from best practice.
