Paul joined ArchitecturePLB in 2007 as a Senior Architect. His experience has enabled him to take several large scale and complex schemes through design and construction phases, particularly in residential, healthcare and community sectors.
Amongst the high-profile projects that he has led is a high-rise student residences and University faculty building in the Victoria Park Conservation Area of Portsmouth that, at 33 storeys, is the tallest building in the City after only the Millennium Tower. The Mayflower student residences in central Southampton, fringing the City centre’s Cultural Quarter, has been Paul’s next challenge. With almost 1100 study bedrooms and a range of retail and leisure facilities, it is the largest off-campus mixed-use development yet promoted by the University of Southampton.
Add to these projects the smaller-scale but highly sensitive and complex developments of a doctors’ surgery in central Winchester, a new medical centre in Southampton and education project designs for sites in Greenwich and Brighton, the range of Paul’s expertise is self-evident.
Despite all this, Paul manages to maintain a commitment to teaching, acting as a visiting design and technology tutor and office mentor.
